Sabrina Martinez
Artist Bio
Sabrina Martinez is a printmaker and visual artist from San Antonio, TX. In 2015, she graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Printmaking. Throughout her career, she has steadily built a presence in Texas by exhibiting work across Texas and in the United Kingdom.
In May 2020, her artwork was displayed alongside other international artists in London, UK, for Amplifier Art and W1 Curates' "Global Call for Art: Mental Health and Public Safety Campaign." In 2022, she created "Genocide" for the Texas People's Tribunal (TPT), highlighting the state's abuses and advocating for the abolition of the Texas Death Penalty.
As an educator, Sabrina has instructed art students, adults, and other educators at organizations such as SAY Si, San Antonio Public Library, Southwest School of Arts, and McNay Museum of Art. She is an active member of the Texas Art Educator Association and recently accepted a position to teach high school art in her district.
Sabrina has been creating art professionally for over nine years. As a working artist, she continually produces and sells her vibrant and thought-provoking pieces, contributing significantly to the art community through both her practice and her teaching.
